Paint Line Cleaner 1920 is an aggressive, non-chlorinated paint line cleaner designed for “deep cleaning” paint lines. It is used wherever MC 1730 cannot be used because of its methylene chloride content. PLC-1920 performs equally well when changing from solvent base paint to either solvent base or water base paint. PLC-1920 offers the user an additional advantage in that it can be reclaimed.
Appearance: Clear, colorless to amber liquid
130 – 140°F
Specific Gravity: 0.9 -1.1
PLC-1920 is used to fill a paint line system after initially cleaning with PLC 5130. Once filled, the line is circulated and a 100 micron filter bag is placed on the return line. After the bag holds for two (2) hours, the bag size is reduced to 25 microns and then finally to five (5) microns. At this point, the system is drained of PLC-1920 and the system filled with: PLC 5130, when removing solvent base paint and refilling with a new solvent base paint. CS 2510, when removing solvent base paint and refilling with water base paint.
